2009-2010 ENDOWMENT CAMPAIGN

Friends of Oak Park Schools is very excited to be part of your child’s school year experience
this year. Our goal is simple - to help our children’s educational experience by providing
additional funding, for programs that would not otherwise be offered.

Simply put, the support we receive from you changes our children’s lives by providing them
with education opportunities that are no longer possible in this troubling economic
environment. That support comes from donations we receive from our parents, community
businesses and through matching funds with some of your employers.

In addition, last year we created an Endowment Fund that will help us plant funding seeds for
years to come. Think of it as our “Alumni Pledge.”

So how can you help?

This year’s Endowment drive begins at registration. Last year, we raised over $27,000, and
this year’s goal is to raise $50,000 in endowment donations. We hope that you will support our
efforts in this endowment drive.

Our annual giving drive will begin in October, and allows us to raise funds that we use to pay
for our supported programs for the following year. In the past, we have supported music and
science education in all of our schools, and look to grow additional programs now and in the
future.

Please join us!!

Whether by donations, volunteerism, attending Friends of Oak Park Schools’ events or
communicating your ideas to us, we do this to provide all of our children the best educational
experience possible.
